Mr. Manford’s vacation
Dear Ms. Tracy Manford,
My name is Tiffani and I am the administrative assistant to Mr. Price Manford here at BBDO. Mr. Manford has advised me I should alert you that he will be arriving in Houston Sunday, October 11th and staying at 3623 Wickersham until the following Friday, October 16th while on vacation. He will expect his regular room, cleaned and prepared for him upon his arrival. Please include fresh towels and soap in his bathroom, and make available the heavy comforter if he requests it. Also please note the penthouse suite above the garage should be cleaned and prepared for his arrival, as well.
The family truck should be checked and gased up so Mr. Manford may be allowed to travel on his own if he so desires. Mr. Manford will come and go as he pleases, but please ensure there is no noise (phone calls, people at the door, maids, etc) before 12:00pm, NOON each day at the residence. If you have an animal please either board it, muzzle it, or kill it. Please reschedule the “yard men” to another week and please ensure the maid uses a broom or her hands as opposed to the vacuum. Either you or the maid should plan to wash Mr. Manford’s clothes at least once while he is home. Dry cleaning won’t be necessary.
Please note Mr. Manford will not be handling any house responsibilities while staying with you. You may cook for him, but he requests all meals outside of breakfast include cooking a dead animal (note this can not be the same animal previously killed for potentially making noise). If Mr. Manford awakens before you leave for work you can make him scrambled eggs, toast, and fresh fruit. He will also need access to a high definition television with digital cable, and should be allowed to watch what he pleases.
You should clear your calendar and your sister Lindsay’s calendar for the week in case Mr. Manford decides he wants to spend time with either of you. Please note with his schedule you may have to meet at the same time. He also noted he expects a certain amount of time with a woman named Lunar Module. I wasn’t able to secure more information about Ms. Module so please let me know if you know her.
Mr. Manford also suggested I list the items he expects available in the cupboard and/or refrigerator when he arrives. Most of these can be found at your local grocery:
Shiner beer
Dannon yogurt (strawberry and/or mixed berry flavors)
Nature Valley granola bars
Fuji apples
Reese’s Pieces (if Pieces aren’t available mini-cups are satisfactory)
Orange Gatorade
California Pizza Kitchen frozen pizzas (BBQ Chicken)
Please let me know if you forsee any conflicts with any of the above. Let’s work together to make sure Mr. Manford has a great trip home. Please note I have cc’ed your sister in case you need support in the preparations.
